Clipboard History Manager (Roncy Clipboard)

This policy describes how the Clipboard History Manager Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles information.
1. Summary
- The Extension helps you save, search, and reuse text you copy in the browser.
- Free users: data stays on your device only.
- Pro users: optional cloud sync uses end-to-end encryption (AES-GCM) before upload. Our servers store ciphertext only and cannot read your content.
2. Information we process
- Clipboard text — plain text you copy (Ctrl/Cmd+C) or save as snippets, stored locally in your browser.
- Snippets — titles and text you create in the Extension.
- Settings — theme, history limits, Pro status.
- Pro sync credentials — a sync key / bearer token stored locally to authenticate encrypted sync across devices (max 3).
- Device identifier — a random UUID per installation, sent only for Pro sync device limits.
We do not collect passwords, payment card numbers, or browsing history lists. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe on their website.
3. How data is used
- Display clipboard history and snippets in the side panel.
- Insert snippets via shortcuts or context menu.
- Pro: sync encrypted history and snippets to our Cloudflare-hosted API so you can access them on other devices.
4. Where data is stored
- Local: Chrome
storage.local on your device.
- Cloud (Pro only): Cloudflare D1 database — encrypted content and metadata (id, timestamps). Hosted at
clipboard-manager.cocotonyee.workers.dev.
5. Encryption
Pro sync encrypts snippet and history text on your device using keys derived from your sync key. Metadata needed for sync (ids, timestamps) remains unencrypted. We cannot decrypt your synced content.
6. Third parties
- Cloudflare — API hosting and encrypted data storage (Pro).
- Stripe — subscription / one-time payment processing (no card data touches our servers).
- Google Chrome Web Store — distribution and updates.
7. Data retention & deletion
- Clear local history anytime in Extension Settings.
- Uninstalling the Extension removes local data.
- Pro cloud data: contact us to request deletion of synced data associated with your account.
8. Permissions
The Extension requests clipboard, storage, and access to web pages solely to capture copy events and insert snippets. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
9. Children
The Extension is not directed at children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date will be revised.
